Exhibit 120: Hawker
With roots dating back to the 1800s, Hawker Centres have been a crucial part of
the evolution of culinary culture and community gathering spaces in Singapore.
Recognizing the importance of intangible local heritage, the project aims to educate
visitors on the historical journey of hawker culture. Also emphasizing the cultural
value of preserved dried goods sold within the centre.


Through innovative layouts, interactive zones, and immersive installations, visitorswill be transported into the heart of these vibrant culinary traditions.Ultimately, the project seeks to promote the Hawker Centre’s role as a cultural andculinary hub while acknowledging the significance of intangible local heritage.
